If you are worried and rushing to get your tax return to the Internal Revenue Services (IRS), please take a break for a minute and relax, because you have a few more days to file in 2017 : the tax due day is going to be Tuesday, April 18th, instead of usual April 15th. The reason for that is because if April 15th happen on Saturday or Sunday or federal holiday, so the tax due day gets pushed to the next business day. This year tax date is on Saturday, so it gets pushed to Monday. But District of Columbia celebrates a federal holiday ( Emancipation Day), so the tax filling date gets pushed to the next business day, which is Tuesday, April 18th. You can find more information regarding tax in IRS website.
